The Joe Orange Mobility Reader is an auto-advancing reading tool built as a single HTML file. You open it in your browser, drop in a book or comic, and it reads at your pace, turning pages or scrolling automatically so you never have to touch a button.
I had the idea after thinking about people with mobility issues who love to read. Turning a page or scrolling a screen might seem like a small thing, but for some people it's a real barrier. The Mobility Reader takes care of that, so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your book or comic.
It's also great for anyone who simply prefers a more relaxed way to read, whether you're eating, exercising, or just want your hands free.
Pages turn automatically based on reading speed (words per minute) or a fixed timer you set.
Switch to scroll mode for continuous reading at your preferred speed.
Read comfortably day or night with built-in theme options.
Auto-saves your position. Export and import bookmarks as JSON files.
Distraction-free reading in fullscreen. Press F to toggle.
Adjust font size, timer position, reading speed, and more through the settings panel.
Works with the most common ebook and comic formats:
The Mobility Reader is completely free. There are no ads, no tracking, no sign-ups, and no data leaves your browser. Everything runs locally on your machine.
It's a single HTML file with no dependencies to install. You can share it, modify it, or host it yourself.
